Panasonic have announced the new GH3 at Photokina 2012. The specs for video look pretty good particularly the ability to record 1080p 50fps in either .MOV or AVCHD file formats.

Picked up a discontinued Kodak Playsport Z5 waterproof camcorder shooting 1080p 30fps and took it out surfing during the week. Here is some raw footage straight off the card of competition surfer Paul Byrne of Irish SUP taking a stand up paddle board through its paces.

Keanu Reeves Makes Documentary on Cinematography

Keanu Reeves, an actor and artist who has made some of the most iconic films of our time, has completed a documentary entitled "Side by Side" about the rubicon between film and digital cinematography that is screening at the Tribeca Film Festival.
